DPI / PPI Calculator
Calculate DPI, PPI and print sizes for images.
Pixel dimensions alone don’t tell you how sharp an image will print. This calculator relates resolution (DPI/PPI), pixel size and physical print size, so you know whether an asset is crisp enough before it goes to press.
Rules of thumb
- Aim for 300 DPI for print and 72–96 PPI for screen.
- Upscaling beyond an image’s native resolution loses sharpness.
- Check print size early to avoid pixelated banners and brochures.
