DPI / PPI Calculator
Calculate DPI, PPI and print sizes for images.
Pixel dimensions alone will not tell you whether an image will print sharply. This calculator connects resolution (DPI/PPI), pixel size and physical print size, so you can judge whether an asset is crisp enough before it ever reaches the printer.
Resolution rules of thumb
- Target around 300 DPI for print and 72–96 PPI for the screen.
- Enlarging an image past its native resolution only softens it — it cannot add detail.
- Check the print size early to avoid pixelated banners, brochures and signage.
